I’m trying to connect to an Oracle database as the SYS user but I need to specify ‘as sysdba’ in the connection string. I can’t get it to work.
It seems like there should be another parameter in the db.connect() for DBA Privilege to get it to work.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
If you are using an ODBC connection, I believe that will work if you enter the password parameter as ‘foo as sysdba’ (where ‘foo’ is your password). I do not believe it is possible if you’re connecting with OCI.
Thanks Michael. I did try that but I’m using OCI so I can confirm that it doesn’t work. 🙁
