Customization for Dashboard

  • Not certain if this is the best place for this…

A more column options for the dashboard would be really appreciated.
*Options for LLP Port and the Description (first # characters)
*Re-sizable columns. The name takes up so much room on the screen, but the field is limited to 30 characters
*Movable columns, to make the dashboard easier to read, with stuff that is important to the user grouped together.

Either a slight color change to Start/Stop button, or a different graphic. The words Start and Stop are so similar, glancing down the list they need to stand out more.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback, Steve. Just so you are aware of some features, please note that there is a flyout pane at the left side of the dashboard where columns can be added or removed from the dashboard. (But not reorganized.)

Under the Server Columns list, there is an In/Out Ports column you can activate. That will add a column to the bottom server pain with a link. Clicking the link will show you a list of channels and the ports they are using. Also, hovering over the component button (eg. LLP) in the channel Type column will list the current port. Hovering over the Channel Name will list the description of the channel.

    Thanks Casey.
The port_status.html page is a good start. Column sorting would be really helpful. We use that as a report to show what ports are in use, and where gaps may be.
Just add the Port column on the dashboard into a ‘Wishlist’ if there is one 🙂

    Thanks Steve,

I’ll make sure our product and design folks see this.

The reason I asked about the column sorting, it doesn’t appear the ports are actually listed in order 🙂

Not sure about others, but views like that are often used as a quick report. Customized headers and sorting make things much easier.
