HL7 Simulator

  • Would be a nice enhancement to paste a single message into the simulator window, and send it to the destination (as in HL7 Inspector)

Also, being able to save a profile (IP:port) would be helpful, so we dont have to type it in each time. Or is there a command line we can use?

    Steve,

For that kind of testing, I really like a tool called HL7 Spy. It’s offered by another Canadian company, Inner Harbour Software. It allows you to create and save profiles for LLP client and server configurations.

If you spend a lot of time working with large batches of HL7 messages, it can be of great assistance in testing, comparing and reporting on the message content.

I have no financial interest in HL7 Spy; I’m just a happy customer 🙂
