Limit Logs for 1 channel.

  • Is there any method to limit the amount of logs stored for 1 channel ?

We have some channels handling embedded PDF files and the logs for these channels use a large amount of disk space. We have lowered the length of time to keep the logs for now.

Administration does not like that all the channels are affects by the reduced time the logs are kept.

    Hi Steven,

Unfortunately the log retention period is global for all channels.

One option to maintain different retention periods would be to install multiple Iguana instances on your server, with the PDFs handled by one instance (and a short retention setting) while the remainder of the interfaces are hosted on the other instance (with a longer retention setting). Each instance would have its own log files. You’d need to work out the licensing details with Interfaceware, but it’s very doable.

Are both the source and destination(s) for these PDFs HL7 v2.x, with a base64-encoded PDF payload in one or more OBX segments?
