main(Data) does not read my xml file

I set a “From File” component to read .xml files from a source directory. However, when I turn the channel on my function main(Data) is still empty though I loaded my folder with .xml files. I am not sure what I am doing wrong and would appreciate any help in this regard.

When I use sample data it reads it perfectly, but when I place an actual file it does not read it. Is there some kind of function I should write to read the content into my DATA?

My channel setup is “From File” to “To translator” and the channel is supposed to read the content of the xml file each time the folder is loaded with an xml file

Hi!

The first thing I would try is in the field for “Extension for Files To Read”. Do not use the dot in dot xml.

This always trips me up, as it’s natural to put that there for extensions, but Iguana just wants the alpha characters for the extension.
