Linux Compatibility List

Linux is a very versatile operating system for server purposes. It is robust and comes with plenty of standard, easily available software tools.

Iguana is compatible with current/recent versions of most common distros. Specifically, we have builds targeting:

  • Ubuntu (LTS releases are recommended – currently 12.04)
  • RHEL/CentOS

To ensure best binary compatibility, pick the Iguana build closest (same or lower version) to your OS, version, and architecture (32 or 64 bit). To help you pick, here is a table of Linux systems and their corresponding recommended Iguana build types. Always use ‘_sls’ packages when available. The ‘_sls’ packages include OpenSSL of given version statically linked in.
