Note: When installing Iguana as a Production Server please follow the recommendations in the the Best Practice Production Deployment for Iguana article in our Deployment Guide section.
Warning: If you are installing Iguana on a Windows Server you will need to Disable IE ESC (enhanced IE browser security), as it prevents javascript from running which prevents you from registering/running Iguana.
Windows install
- Download the latest Iguana release.
- Make sure that you are using an account with Administrator privileges.
- Run the installer and follow the instructions.
Mac OS X or Linux install
- Download the latest Iguana release, and copy it to your home directory.
- Run Terminal.
- Run this command to unpack the tarball into the iNTERFACEWARE-Iguana directory:
tar -xvzf iguana_macosx_5_5_intel-leopard.tar.gz
- Browse to the install directory:
cd iNTERFACEWARE-Iguana
- Use one of these commands, run Iguana:
- To run as an exe:
./iguana --run
- To run as a daemon:
./iguana_service
- To run as an exe:
Tip: If you are running Iguana as a daemon in a Mac/Linux/Unix environment, we recommend that you configure it to create crash dumps (as best practice).
Login and Register
- Run Iguana using the default url http://localhost:6543.
- Login using the defaults, user = admin and password = password
- Register Iguana:
- New User: Click the “Activate Free Trial“ button
- Existing Customer: Click “Log In and Activate” This Instance
