Hi,
We are curious if it is possible to change the destination component type after the initial channel configuration? During this phase of our project messages are saved to a file location, at a later phase we would like to change the destination to LLP. Is it possible to do that without having to recreate the channel?
No, the destination component cannot be changed once the channel is created. It only takes a minute or two to configure a file or LLP channel endpoint, though. The real work is done in the translators, which are easily transportable between channels.

I have needed to do the same thing, with both Source and Destination. This is usually in the test environment – some of the clients keep the test environment IP/Port alive and some do not, but I need their channel available to test the clients custom code. It would be a good enhancement to the product. That way the log stays attached to the same channel. And changing the channel name back and forth isn’t needed.
