Message delivery delay issue

    Hi, were chasing down a delay in messages sent through our VPN client tunnel. on occasions there is up to a four hour delay. 90% of the time the transfer is instant. Has anyone else had this issue?

    I’ve seen instances where an intervening firewall (which would potentially also host VPN connections) would time-out idle connections but appear to keep the downstream system’s connection active. Bouncing the interface from the sending side would fix it, but the most effective solution has been to look into and adjust any timeout settings present in the firewall/VPN server.
